Calendar shows new message "Calendar (1)"

I recently have gotten a message pop up in my calendar and the calendar title
has gone bold, like when you normally get a new email to your inbox for
example.

I don't appear to have any new messages showing (like you normally get a
little message icon on your shortcut bar for a new message). I presume this
may be a meeting request gone wrong?

Is there a way to get to this message/meeting request? I can't see anything
via the calendar that looks new. Working with Outlook 2003.

It may be a .ics appointment you downloaded from a website. If you want to see what it is, display the calendar in an appointment view (turn on the advanced toolbar and use the dropdown) and add the "unread" field from Field Chooser. Sort on this column.

Otherwise, right click the calendar and select "mark all as read" if you don't really care.

Thanks heaps, totally worked. It was a meeting that saved to the "default"
folder from a public folder.

It's a Filter, not a field.

,Apply, then switch back to Unread...

I tried a few variations of that, which didn't work.
