Calculator

Hi,

I hope someone can provide me some help on getting my calculator back. I had a short to the calculator installed in my Task Bar and suddenly both it and the Nero 5.0 icon were gone. I reinstalled Nero and searched for the Calculator - search found nothing - no calculator. Any help and assistance in solving this problem will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Grover,

The calculator program (calc.exe) can be found in x:\windows\system32 (where x is your boot drive).

The easiest way to get it into your toolbar is to create a shortcut on your desktop then drag it to the toolbar that you want it
to be in. The same can be done for Nero, simply go into Windows Explorer make a copy of the shortcut from your [Start] menu and
copy it to the desktop. Note that you should *copy* not *move*.

Ciao . . .

Hi Guys

Thanks for your replies. Joseph, I went to x:windows/System 32 and there is no cal.exe there. Do you think it could have be deleted? Can I just reload that from the XP cd

Thank
Grover

If you cannot locate the calculator on the hard drive you can redownload it
.. go to add and remove window components > accessories and utilities >
accessories >details > put a checkmark in the calculator box > ok. Jym

Grover,

Add/Remove Windows Components is a selection in the Add or Remove
Programs wizard (Settings - Control Panel - Add or Remove Programs).
