cab file error

Tom

Can someone help? I have tried installing any type of
software on Windows XP, including games like Halo, and
Flight Sim 2004, and keep geeting an error that the setup
cab file does not match the one on the disk, and the
program installation is terminated. It also sometimes
states the the cab file maybe corrupt. The flight sim
2004 is Brand New out of the box. I have reinstalled
windows 4 times, tried installing without my virus scan
running and have also done a complete wipe of the hard
drive. I don,t have a clue what to do next.

Thx
Tom

Hi Tom,

Is it possible your CD Rom needs cleaning or maintenance?
To test that theory*, beg / borrow a CD ROM and install it
in place of the one you're currently using. Hope this helps! :)

* Download the demo version of Halo first and try installing
it to see if the problem is related to the CD ROM or not first.
