Does this mean anything to anyone, Ran MS Antispy, the running processes show
a "Modem" process with this file path C:\WINDOWS\system32\slserv.exe
I tried stopping the process from running in MS Antispyware but it doesnt
switch it off. I am an amateur at this and dont want to try to delete
something that the PC needs to run. Anyone tell me if this is a "nasty" that
shouldnt be in the PC

Did you get an alarm from MSAS ?

A few hits with Google search about possible malware/rootkits with this
process.
