Any reason to keep the data in this folder ?
No issues , but just trying to clean up my PC before imaging a backup.
Also
C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Installations is dated 12/12/2005 - has one file in
sublolder called HMTCDWizard.msi ok to delete ?

I read via google that Highmat is an optional update. I do have it listed
in add/remove.

As with a lot of Microsoft stuff, once downloaded is it OK to delete these
files ?
Have they done their job and just leftover from install apps ?

Hi Bob,

Kind of like the updates folders in the Windows folder. If you're sure
everything is working okay, you should be able to delete the files/folders.

Hello,

If the system has been working properly after the updates, you can delete
the hot fix backup files as well as the add/remove registry entries by using
the utility at this page

(it is free, but does not allow you to select which updates to remove)

directory contains the actual hotfixes downloaded by WinUpdate, but the
above util deletes their "uninstallers", which are in the hidden and
compressed (ie, blue) \windows\$ntxxxxxx directories.

So Yes, you can delete the \downloads dir no problem, if you ever need
them again Windows Update will just download them again.
