c:\windows\prefetch in windows XP Home

I just bought this Sony Vaio PCV-RS310 with a huge package
installed which includes Win XP Home and the McAfee
Security group. I have installed the Personal Firewall,
and every time I start the pc up, a window pops up from
McAfee which says it has detected a suspicious script
being run which it has shut down:
c:\programfiles\support.com\client\1server\server.vbs.
If I tell it to allow the script to run, a second window
pops up with the same message for this second file:
c:\progra~1\support.com\client\bin\tgcmd.exe.
I've tried to figure out what these are, but have only
managed to trace them to the program I put in the subject
line of this message. If I tell McAfee to stop the first
script, the second does not pop up. Can you please tell
me about this program and if it is supposed to be running
and why. I've already had 2 viruses/worms that McAfee
caught and had to delete 2 files to get rid of. Now I'm
gun-shy about anything i don't understand. I searched
microsoft for the program called Prefetch, but there was
nothing. Thank you. faye mCmillian
