Hi All,

I get a problem about this case.

When I do the installation, the temp file will store in my d:\. Normally, it
will store in C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Installations\.
1. How can I change it back to C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Installations ?
2. Do I need to do any config. in order to store in correct path on my next
time installation ?
3. Is it possible I just move the temp folder from D:\ to C:\WINDOWS\
Downloaded Installations?

Please help!

Hi vampire225,

What are you trying to install? The Temp folder is located here, by default:

C:\DOCUME~1\{username}\LOCALS~1\Temp

Click Start, Run and type %temp%
Which folder does it open?

I have noticed that some installations, particularly Microsoft, look around
all hard drives to ensure that there is enough room for installation and
expanding files. If you do not have enough space on C:, but have enough
remove on D:, the installation program will create a unique folder name,
download/install there, and then uncompress the package. This folder should
be removed upon completion.

If the installation is aborted by non-user intervention, sometime this
folder remains. When you try to download/install again ... a new unique
folder will be created.

It really depends on the installation program.
