C++ Runtime Library

When I go to use internet explorer I get the below error in the above box:
The above box opens and in it it has a X runtime error. It thern gives
Program C:\program files\internet explorer\iexplorer.exe
This program has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application support team for more information.
I am not smart when it comes to computers and really thought I did not need
IE, but some of the programs, like downloading info has to use IE. I am told
that I might have to pay for someone to install IE6, I have xp w/sp2 and IE
encripted with windows so why would I loose any files? Thank you.

Try uninstalling "Google toolbar" from Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs.
Reboot.
