Um, this is a horribly newbie-ish maneuver, I'm sure....
I recently purchased a laptop and was told by the manufacturer to run
fdisk and do a clean install of xp pro because there are issues with
upgrading form Home Edition to Pro.
I did this, eeking alon, following directions, but I think I made a big
mistake.
The system partition (or whatever you call it) is 8 mb and is the C:
drive, and my D: drive (which has xp installed on it) is 60 gigs. I was
irritated during setup cause I couldn't figure out how to switch the
order and now it's becoming a problem because my video driver refuses
to install on D: and there isn't enough room on C:
So do I have to fdisk again and start all over?
Can PartitionMagic combine them if D: is NTFS and C: is FAT?
When I recieved the computer (with Home Edition preinstalled) there was
only one hard drive - C. I would really like it to be like that.
Please advise!
