button and shortcuts

Hi all,

Pretty basic question, but I cannot find a solution myself.

I have a form with several buttons. To assign a shortkey I prefix the
button.text with a '&'
Now I have a &Edit, &Add, &Cancel and &OK button.
Pressing Alt-E simulates a button-press on the Edit button etc.
This works fine.

But...
After pressing a button using the shortcut key, I do not need to use the Alt
key anymore.
So after pressing Alt-E , just pressing O is enough to press the OK button.
This is not what I wanted.

How can I prevent this, so the user will always need to use the full
Shortkey combination?

TIA,

Erik

This should *not* be happening in an ordinary program. Maybe it is being
caused because you somehow activated the "sticky keys" feature in the
Accessibility options of Windows.
