Business Cards - unusual size

Y

yarasin

Have to set up a template with business cards, but several limitations:

- the business cards are not run of the mill size, they have to be larger
for easy reading for the people with visual impairment
- have to have six business cards on one page on a locked template but with
a "line" on each business card for the person to be able to enter their name
- have got to keep to Word's default margins

Any suggestion as to the best (read easiest!) way to do this?

Thanks

Hi Yarasin,

Usually, people use the Tools > Envelopes and Labels > Labels dialog to
create business cards; most Avery products and some from other paper vendors
are listed in the Options dialog there. If you have card stock that's listed
there, select it. Otherwise, you can use the custom type and put in the
measurements you need.

When you have the right measurements, click the New Document button. This
creates a one-page document containing a table (use Table > Show Gridlines if
necessary to see it). Create the card in the first cell, and copy it to the
other cells.

For the line on the first card where people should enter their name, insert
a text field from the Forms toolbar. In the field's Properties dialog, check
the box for Calculate on Exit. Then insert a cross-reference to that field in
each of the other cells at the same place, referring to the field.
