Burning music to CD

Having problems burning to CD. I keep getting a message that it cannot copy
due to speed, bad CD, etc. I have purchase two different packs CD-R,
40X700mbX80mb. Reset computer properties to slow down speed to write. I am
worndering if it is something in set up or bad CD-R. How would I know?

My first question to you is, how are you burning these CD's?
Are you using software like Nero, Roxio or some other format?
Most retail CD-R's will burn properly, so don't waste more money.
