ok, only 6 programs, really:

http://www.smalleranimals.com/index_free.htm

SA HotShot - A simple hot-key program

Pick Ax - Pick Ax is an image viewer which supports the PAX image file
format. The PAX format allows password protection of images. Pick Ax has
password management, image viewing, printing, and format conversion.

SAMenu - A handy little Explorer extension that provides batch file
renaming, permission changing, path copy to clipboard, etc..

SACrypt - Encrypt (and decrypt) files from Explorer. Very simple and fast!

WHD - Hex/Dec file viewer. View and edit the contents of any file as Hex
bytes.

DirCase - Change file names to upper or lower case, a directory at a time.

I'm sure someone will find at least something useful.

I enabled Javascript in Firefox, & disabled Proxomitron. "Nothing" (other
that the "regular" stuff).

I see them first time using Opera through Webwasher with JavaScript
disabled...

Opera is adware, don't want to start a flame war, but to me it is. Even when
you block the ads with whatever filter, an ugly gray bar remains. Just my
opinion.

On reflection it looks like SoS' post to me was probably a mistake...
I can't quite work out what he did, but he did something. :)

As to your point about Opera, yes it is adware; it surprises me a bit
that the purists in the group do not get excited about it, certainly
in view of the amount of mentions it is getting recently in all the
browser discussions that are going on.

It's still streets ahead of Firefox and Mack's Thong, though...

That reply you refer to was very strange. It looked like SOS posted it and
ProteanThread apologized for the mistake ? Someone stealing identities ?
As for (OT :) ) Opera and the renamed MyIE2, been using them both, can't say
I agree with you, except for the name, but I guess we're both happy using
our own choice of browser.

Rod,
I agree. However, Opera's status as freeware has been argued in
this group time after time, and those who argue that it IS freeware
are absolutely militant about it.
IMO it absolutely isn't freeware since it has an ad banner:

"The advertising banner in Opera was first introduced with the launch
of Opera 5 in December 2000. All of Opera's desktop browsers now
include this technology. Opera Software has taken much care in the
development so that user privacy and security are not compromised. No
personal information is collected or shared, and providing ad profile
information in the browser is strictly optional. The Opera user's Web
usage is not tracked. What is recorded and shared with the advertising
service provider is the user's interaction with the relative banner
advertising. Please see links below for more information about the
company that provides the advertising in Opera."

(Previous is from their privacy page)

Not freeware. Period.
