Building a gamepad. Need some help.

G

Gamer dood.

Building a gamepad. Need some help.

This might sound weird but I need some help into putting together a
dirrectinal pad. I have hotwired one of those flexiable keyboards and
have the wires all hooked up and they work for W-A-S-D, but I need
something to connect them up to :)

Its for a game controller it's only a prototype, but it pretty much
works now, but not fully at the moment.

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas, I would try an Electronics
group But My ISP has no groups with Electronic sin them :)

/PS I put together A crappy controller and it works, but was wanting
something more elegant and possible with some elctronics you can point
me too :)

Thanks.

A couple possibilities.

1) Try a search engine, and look for "gamepad interface". You
might find someone has already whipped something together,
and all you have to do is copy it.

2) If you told us what is was intended to plug into, that would
narrow things down a bit. Also, knowing what type of control
devices you want to hook into it (analog joystick, hat switch,
you know, some names of stuff), that helps narrow down what you
have in mind too. Even if you could dig up some URLs with
pictures of the switch types or control types, that would help.
I cannot really tell what your overall project is going to
look like. You can look for images here:

There are a few examples here to look at.

There are lots of USENET service providers, including free text-only
USENET providers.

The electronics groups are large groups.
sci.electronics.design
sci.electronics.basics
sci.electronics.repair
If you can't get your Internet service provider to include those
groups, you need to get a different USENET provider.

WORKS NOW

Seems my usnet does include the groups, just Agent my newsreader did
not want to find them for some reason.

Every so often you have to use "Refresh Groups List..." under "Online".
