Buggy VBE behavior

My Excel VBE is starting to have some buggy behavior lately. I was
wondering if anyone has encountered these problems (described below),
and, if so, has a fix.

1. When I lock my PC, then log back in, Excel launches the VBE if Excel
is open. It only does this if there's a macro in the Excel file. It
doesn't matter if the VBE was open before I locked the PC - it opens
it anyway.

2. Periodically, whern I switch back and forth between the workbook and
the VBE, the menus and command bars in the VBE disappear. The only way
to fix the problem is to close the VBE and re-open it.

Any clues?
