Bugged IE6 with dsl?

S

SF Javier

I have been surfing using dial-up for over 5 years, always using IE. Right
now I have the IE6 sp2 version. Since lately the dial-up speed was terrible
slow (between 36 to 38 kbs), i decided to upload to 512 kbs dsl.

I have notice that when I type the url and the page is about to open, the
browser just shows a black page and it doesnt load anything, after a minute
or so, I click in Refresh and then the page loads normally. So about 50
percent of the pages I want to look at I have to click Refresh after a
minute of seeing a page.

And when the page has java apps, it gets worst, I have to close all the IE
windows because none of them is responding.

None of this happened when I had dial-up...I mean, it was awfully slows, but
always the pages loaded at the first time.

I talked to my ISP tech support and they told me to erase the IE cache and
Java cache, but the problem remains, they then told me that the problem is
the Internet Explorer browser that has a problem dealing with the high
speed. It is true? I have never heard of it.

Do you know how can I elimate this problem?

thanks.

O

oops!!

IE has no problems dealing with high speed internet.

The spyware/malware cleanup posted above is excellent.

As a comparison, you may want to try a different browser like Firefox:
