Bug in PowerPoint ? InserFromFile/Copy on slide crashing PowerPoin

Hi

I am automating PowerPoint XP... where I use InsertFromFile to insert some
slides from N number of source presentation files and create one presentation
file after combining slides from N such files.

The InsertFromFile is failing (crashing PowerPoint ...) at one such source
presentation file. During a little bit investigation on that file, I trying
to insert slides from that file manually using PowerPoint GUI, which again
crashed PowerPoint... further I found that its only slide number 2, 32, 34
that are causing problems, rest inserts fine... (Ouch...)

What I believe is this is only the InsertFromFile that is failing... but...
If I try to copy one of those slides on which InserFromFile failed, copy also
crashed PowerPoint...

I believe this is a bug in PowerPoint itself... please correct me...

Is this a known issue? So which service pack do I need? Does this problem
has any "workaroundsâ€.

My team is struggling with this problem... please help soon.

Regards,
Msjammu
