buffer overruns Vista Quicktime

My Vista system has Quicktime Pro installed. It was running fine until I
started getting error messages indicating " buffer underruns " and the
program would shut down. I've de-installed and re-installed, went back to an
earlier restore point but no luck. No help from Apple Quicktime support
either. Any ideas?

What audio and video card do you have? Are there driver updates available,
especially for the video card.... ?

Identical problem just showed up tonight with the error message. I had
not been able to play anything in Quicktime previously -- terriblevideo,choppywith good sound. Now the error message pops up.Itunes
shuts down as soon as avideotrys to play within it.

Try installing the latest version of Itunes.
That and the MS quicktime fixes seems to have cured my BSOD and buffer
overrun errors when playing quicktime files!

I installed quicktime 7.2 it also gives me buffer overun with a intel core
duo T7200 with 4GB of RAM now i tried go into the quicktime on control panel
but the DEP does not let it run it. Any ideas???????Pls getting desperate.
