browser wont display html format when asked

im starting to design webpages using html or notepad. i
get my ideas from other websites by viewing their source
(view/source), but when i click on source, my PC thinks
fro a fraction of a second (i can tell by the pointer
changing) and then nothing happens, as if id never
clicked on source!!

i would appreciate any help from any of u. thx in advance.

This could be related to the website, your ISP or your
HTTP connection. I can suggest a good way of getting the
info from the files though. Either
1. File, Edit with Notepad (if it shows edit with word and
you dont want to use word go to Tools, Internet options
and set word as your default html editor)

or

2. File, Save as then rename the HTML .txt and open it up
in notepad

Clean your Temporary Internet Files (Folder).

Make sure you do not have a shortcut on the desktop named notepad if so
rename it mynotepad
