I'm running IE 6.x and have a strange issue with the
browser size. When I launch IE, it says it is maximized
but it does not go full screen like it used to (all my
other MS apps still work fine). As a result, the status
bar is not visible and it is hard to scroll down because
some of the browser is now "off" my monitor at the
bottom. Any suggestions? I've shut, down, rebooted,
minimized and the maximized, restored, changed the
shortcut to launch max (vs. normal). No luck. Thanks!

Mark,
Try:
With only the affected window open (and the taskbar NOT set to autohide)
grab the top of the taskbar and pull it up to twice its normal height. Then
close the window, resize the taskbar, reopen the window.
Or
With only that window open, right click the taskbar and choose "tile
vertically" (horizontally should also work.)
Or (a registry edit)

Don,

I tried 2 of your 3 solutions ... resizing and tiling.
Resizing did not work at all. Tile horizontal or
vertical does work but it is an annoying solution that I
would have to do that everytime. Plus, if I hit the
maximize button, it reverts back to partial screen.

Regarding the registry fix, the article lists this as a
fix for Win 98 and IE 5.5 or older. It does not list Win
XP or IE 6.x. Should I still try it?

Thanks,

Mark
