Browser Hijack Restore

The Microsoft anti-spyware beta has an advanced feature called "Browser
Hijack Restore". I read the available documentation but can't find an
explanation for what this does or why it is needed. Anyone have any
info on this?

Also, I noticed that the scanner mentions that it will check cookies
for spyware but it appears that this beta version does not, yet, do
this. It does seem to do a good job on memory and files, however.
Thanks for info.

Simple answer:

If the anti-spyware software "notices" that your "home page" web page
changes, it will give you the option of restoring it to the setting you had
placed in this option.

Thanks Yves. Each time I have checked, there are a number of pages
listed. Does the fact that a page has changed mean there is a security
problem or is this usually benign?

Isn't that the "feature" that prevents Firefox from being used as
your main browser? Ha! Just kidding ... sort of.
