Browser hangs when posting sometimes

Hi,

We are experiencing a frequent problem with an ASP.NET application using IE.
We have a registration process that involves an Infragistics grid on one of
the pages. Most often, this problem occurs on this one particular page.

The problem itself, is that clicking a button to submit to the server, does
not work. The little icon in the upper right corner is moving, but there is
no progress bar on the bottom of IE. It looks like IE is trying to do the
post - but it is not getting anywhere.

Furthermore, trying to access the site from the current IE browser at all,
even loading a page that does no server side processing on initial load,
does the same thing - it just hangs forever and nothing loads.

If we close the IE window, and start open a new one, then things start
loading again. And this is pretty much the only way to get to the web site
after this happens, is to restart IE. Any attempts in the original IE window
hang.

This has happened on 2 applications on this server. The same applications
on a test server, do not exhibit this behavior.

What if anything could be causing this? Initially, it sounds like a browser
issue, except that it happens quite frequently, and only on one particular
server.

Any ideas at all?

I would like to say, that the information never gets to the server at all.
So it's not as if the server is just taking a long time processing the post.

Also, I mentioned the Infragistics grid just in case, but the second
application does not use it. It is just that the page that causes the
problem most frequently has this control.
