browser closes when shutting down popups

what can I do to stop my browser from closing when I shut
down all the damn pop ups my pop-up blockers wont stop?
Everytime I shut one down One of two things happen I get
an error reporting messageasking me if I want to send a
report. If I say yes it shuts down my browser if I say no
it shuts down my browser. Now If I shut down a pop-up
window I do not get teh send a report message it just
shuts everything down. What can I do tostop this. I've
already re-installed IE6, use Ad-aware 6 Professional to
remove spyware and installed pop-up blockers. wht else is
there?

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.
