Browse network through symantec VPN appliance

I can connect and ping throught the tunnel using
Symantec's VPN appliance model 200r and a remote client
but I can't browse the remote network.

I would need to know more details about the remote network and how it is
defined architectualy.

For example:

- Is the remote network using WINS and DNS or just one or the other.

- Has the remote network assigned you a WINS server entry after establishing
the VPN session?

There are work arounds by allowing you to modify your local LMHOST file with
the pre-definition of the remote resources you care about, including domain
names.
