'Browsable" share ??

Is there a way to configure a share to be non-browsable?
I got this term and idea from Samba on Linux and Solaris
(which seems to have a lot more configuration options).

It is used on secure user directories which are shared,
but are not visible under the computer except for the
intended user.

I realise this does not reflect the security on the share,
but it would come in handy to un-clutter the window of
available shares.

Thanks

Add a $ sign to the name of the share eg. sharedfolder$

Sure, dude, just put a '$' on the end of the share name. That'll do it.
It's not called, 'non-browseable,' it's called 'hidden.' At the going rate
for syllables and letters, it's a lot less expensive to call it hidden.
Plus, we live in America where excessive syllables are frowned on. If only
we could communicate with grunts . . .
