Brightness

My monitor doesn't get bright now for some reason. I have to use my
software with my video card to compensate. Is there a way that I can get it
to apply those brightness settings to games such as Doom3 as well. Even on
the brightest setting, it's still way too dark to play, so I need the video
card's brightness adjustments to compensate. I've played Doom3 before
before my monitor lost it's brightness, and it was playable then.

When I went into my OSD one day with my monitor to adjust my brightness
because a video was too dark, when I went to bring up the brightness, the
monitor got considerably darker instead, and now even at 100% brightness,
the screen's still pretty dark. I really don't want to spend $200 for a new
monitor because it still works, just that it's dark. By the way, I have an
x1600 pro AGP 8x 256MB GDDR2 video card. Thanks.

I use the Hotkeys Manager in Catalyst Control Center's advanced view.
I set hotkeys for adjusting the brightness and gamma in 3D and video modes.

This feature sure comes in handy.
