Botched install of SP2, but need further help.

Greetings all...

I installed SP2 recently and it installed rather smoothly. When it got
to the point where it was doing a clean-up, that's when trouble began.
It progressed along with the status remaining as clean-up. The bar got
to about 5/7th's complete when the installation ended with a standard
windows error message asking me if I want to send a report or not.

Now I restart my computer after clicking ok and it brought me to the
SP2 installation screen first thing. Asking me what I wanted to set my
update settings as. When I entered it personalized my IE settings and
it looked great! As i've been using SP2 now for the past 6 hours, I
haven't encountered one error message or problem. All of the features I
assume are there, such as pop up blocker, security center, the new
prompts when downloading, etcetera.

So everything works fine and I assume it does because the installation
crashed when it was cleaning up? (verification on this?)

That's my secondary question, whether it turned out fine because it
crashed on the clean up part. The main question is, near 900MB went
missing on the drive once I restarted my computer after the
installation. The SP2 installation said it would take I think less than
400MB. I think the majorty is the missing space is residual files used
during installation that the installer was in the process of cleaning
up before it crashed. Is this true? If so, where would I find the
residual files so I can delete them myself?
