Bootvis.exe wont stop tracing. what to do?

Even after I removed bootvis from my system it continues to create a trace
log which eats disk space until it's all gone. I reinstalled bootvis to stop
the tracing but that doesnt seem to help. It spontaneously beings tracing
again even with no explicit command. Is there a registry entry that controls
this? Ideas as to how to proceed?

Check 'Services' in Administrative Tools.
Find the Bootvis service and disable it.

Jason. thanks. however I dont believe there is a bootvis service. I cant
find one listed under component services anyway. next steps?
