|actually, if you buy a bootleg copy of winxp today it should cost about
|US$3.60 (yep it's less than four united states dollars!). the only
|difference between the bootleg copy and the original is that the bootleg
|copy is already preactivated and you can't install xp sp1 or sp1a. that's
|about it.
|
oh yes you can if you slipstream the ADMIN version of SP1a!
|now, are not supposed to be happy that leslie wants to go legal? what i
|have in mind though is that she is satisfied with how winxp works and thus
|wants to make her use legal. i would also like to believe that microsoft is
|happy about her decision.
|
|anyways, carey and bruce have given her some good reference. i hope it
|hopes her well.
|
|to leslie, go girl! LOL!
|
|peace to all!
|
|
||| How do you know that she didn't want to buy a bootleg copy in the first
|| place and now just feels guilty. How does she know its a bootleg copy?
|| Bootlegging is a 2 way street. Yes there is the despicable person selling
|| the bootleg copy but there is also the despicable person buying the
|bootleg
|| copy. the going price for Windows XP Pro upgrade is $199. If you pay
|less
|| than that by much, then you should probably be suspicisious and wonder
|about
|| the copy.
