Booting stops and asks which operating system to use

Guest

When booting up it stops at a screen and asks which one I want to use. The choices are: " Microsoft Windows XP Home" is there 2 times and "Microsoft Windows" is there one time

Do I need to delete one of the XP Homes? If so, how is that done

Does the Mocrosoft Windows need to be there, or does it need deleted

Part of my Norton program does not work saying that it is unable to correctly recognize the version of this operating system due to another application hooking and modifying the Win32 functions. Does this have something to do with the above

Thanks so much for any help.

Hi,

Start/run msconfig, go to the boot.ini tab and click "check all boot paths",
it should offer to remove the invalid ones.

On question #2, I doubt this is related to the problem. Have you checked
with symantec support.
