Booting loop, please help!!!!!

Hello,

I installed a D-Link Ethernet Card. Now the Windows XP starts to open.
Then it takes me back to the screen that tells me Windows was not shut down
properly. I have the choice to open in the last known good configuration,
safe mode, start windows normally etc. It will not do any of the above, it
just keeps rebooting itself. It will not read from the XP CD so I can not
repair windows XP.
Any suggestions? Thanks

Joe

Remove the Ethernet card, then try Normal Mode or Safe Mode.
You should also replace your CD drive so that you can read
CDs. Without a working CD drive your options of repairing your
installation are vry limited.

Thanks for the help Pegasus. My CD drive works well, but the computer will not boot from windows system disk. I ended up taking it to my local computer repair center and he is still trying to figure out the problem .
