Bootable cd from BartPE?

Hello,
I burned a BARTPE ISO file that was at my company's network. The ISO
file has a 386 folder, winpe files, autoexec, ghost, etc. Supposedly,
all it took was burning the iso to a cd rom that i wanted to make
bootable into the network and that was it. Well, after doing this, i
put it in a dell desktop and went to BIOs to set boot sequence to boot
from CD-Rom. After booting, it gave me a message of "Cannot load DOS!
Any key to retry". What happened? thanks.

Once you get PE...you need a working OS to work in conjunction with it
to create a bootable cd.
it generally will not work on another machine unless the hardware is the
same (or very similar)

You have to burn it as an ISO file not as a bootable CD.

Say what?
I suggest you do some more research about what BartPE is and does.

Thanks. IYou're right about using it as image file not as ISO. It boots
now. Only problem is getting the network settings menu to save the
items and boot into my network. Still trying to find out which files on
this image that i can edit or customize for my network
environment(mapping to my servers, shares, etc).
