Boot Up

When I boot up, for some reason I'm getting the Comment line "Press F1 to
Continue". It's been going on a while, but I can't figure out how to get
around that pause in the boot up. I'm pretty green, mostly self taught. Thanks

Look inthe BIOS (System Setup) - the hardware control before any OS loads -
and look for the part that tells the computer how to react on:

keyboard errors
vga errors
etc..

Could be - if you think everythng else is fine - that one of these settings
is just incorrectly identifying an issue.

Have you looked at the BIOS setup?
And would you like to post information on your system?

The message is appearing before Windows even begins to load and is from
BIOS. Usually it's appearance means that something is configured
incorrectly on a system level (a wrong BIOS setting somewhere). Fix
whatever is amiss in there and the message should disappear.

Also - as others have stated, it could be a hardware issue (keyboard or
video, for example) if your BIOS is set to stop on errors during POST.
