boot up process hangs

My WinXP SP1 system hangs right after the PCI device listing during the boot
up process.
It seems that the MBR is corrupted or missing.
I have tried to boot from CDROM and get nothing from it.
How to fix this problem?
Thanx

Hi,

Unless it is hanging after WinXP starts to load, this has nothing to do with
the mbr. It would have everything to do with the system BIOS and the
installed hardware. Hanging at PCI enumeration indicates a problem that is
possibly with one of the installed devices - I would start by removing
unnecessary ones. If you made a recent change to the hardware or its
arrangement, try undoing it.

Thank you very much for your reply.
It is hanging right after the system shows its PCI listing.
Thanx a lot
