Could I remove boot sector virus by re-formatting the hard drive?
Or could it be removed by writing 0 (zero) all over the boot sector?

Thank you!!

No. Most boot viruses do not affect the hard drive boot sector, but the MBR,
and formatting the hard drive leaves the MBR untouched.

As silly as making a new baby for having soiled his diapers rather than changing
the diapers.

Why don't you just re-write the boot sector, which is something almost
all versions of Windows are quite capable of doing .. many AntiVirus
products can do it too.

Why do you think you have a Boot Sector virus .. they are pretty rare
these days?
