Boot from CD-problem

M

Mike

I have win xp pro, but I want to install Win2K pro
instead.

If I boot from Win2K CD it says
BOOT: Couldn´t find NTLDR

and if I boot from WinXP Pro it says
CDBOOT- Cannot boot from CD CODE:5

then in booth cases win xp start normaly...
What can I do to install my Win2K?

Thanks, Mike

Mike,

Check to make sure your BIOS is "eltorito" compliant. Windows CD's will only
boot with this specification in place. Second to that you can create the
boot floppies for Windows 2000 using the Makeboot.exe found on the Windows
2000 CD. It is located in the BOOTDISK folder.
