Boot error with flash disc inserted

I have two hard drives in my system and I have a flash disc that I
keep plugged in and basically use as an extra drive. It is mapped to
drive "O:"

When I re-start my PC, I get a DOS screen that says "Boot Error" (or
maybe "Disk Error"), "Press any key to continue." I do and everything
is OK.

This is a minor annoyance, but I would like to fix it. Something in
the BIOS setting? Or is it the FAT32 file format on the flash disc?

Ideas please.

Your BIOS may support booting from USB flash drives. You need to check the
boot order settings and change it so your hard disk comes before the USB
devices.
