Assuming your hardware is fine (more on this below):
Try it again, making sure the only peripherals connected are your
keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Make sure you delete *all* the partitions.
Then create a partition and format it, and then commence the

Of course, this is assuming you are using a generic OEM installation
disk. In the event your PC comes with a different method to reinstall XP
MCE, you need to follow the directions that came with the documentation.
If you don't have the documentation, you should be able to find it
online. Or if you provide us the make, model, and model number, someone
here should be able to assist you.
The above presumes you have checked your hardware and it is in good
shape. Remember BSODs often indicate faulty hardware. And since you were
unable to restore your Acronis image archive, this is a distinct
possibility. Had you included the complete text of your BSOD messages,
we could have given you more helpful information. For now, look at the
