Blurry pictures in IE

When I am in internet explorer, the pictures are blurry. Like they don't
have the right resolution to be clear. All my pictures that I have on the
computer aren't like this, I can view them when I'm not in IE and all are
clear. How do I fix the resolution in IE?

Do you have dialup Internet access? If yes, are you using some sort of
"web accelerator" software from your ISP? These so-called
"accelerators" give the illusion that your dial connection is faster by
downloading less data. That's why the pictures are blurry or pixelated;
you're not getting all the data. If this is the case, turn off the
accelerator when downloading or looking at pictures.

I use a Verizon wireless card, it's broadband access. If it has a web
accelerator I don't know how to turn it off. But I used the same card and
access on my work computer which is a Dell also, and I have never had this
problem. Any other suggestions?

ISP's offer "extra speed" by compressing graphics for transmission to your
PC.

Right click an internet picture and save it. Now close your browser and
double click the newly saved icon. Does it still appear blurry? I bet it
does, and that would indicate that Verizon is screwing with the data before
serving it to you.

BTW, do you have any proxy settings enabled in your browser?

The question isn't about what networking hardware you have; the question
is about how you connect to the Internet. If the same hardware on the
same computer works fine at your office and produces blurry pictures at
your house, then the difference is in the Internet connection. Contact
your ISP.

do you get the same problem if you use another browser like
maybe avant or someother...

not a bad idea to have a secondary browser installed - just in case...
