I have had problems with blurry images on Internet Explorer 6. I found
article ID 889960 that addressed this problem
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/889960/where I followed a link that had me
download a hotfix. They say it is a problem with Windows XP sp2 and Internet
Explorer sp1 or sp2-not sure. I have not installed this hotfix yet since I
was told it may not be tested by microsoft and I should copy my system files
and all imortant info in case the hotfix did not work properly. Has anyone
installed article ID 889960 and had any problems with it???

Hi,
There are other (much more common) causes of blurry images. The situation
described in that article is probably pretty rare.

Can you describe your problem? Are all JPGs blurry? Does text display
properly? Is this a fairly new Dell laptop computer?

Hope this helps,
Don

If you have an accelerator supplied by your ISP turn it off.

Is it a LCD screen? Make sure you are running in the native resolution and
check your DPI settings:

http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb;EN-US;Q820286

We had some Dell Laptops that simply lowering the DPI setting fixed the
problem.

Have tried all of the recommendations (changing HR to 0, changing DPI to 96,
unchecking "enable automatic image resizing", etc.) and different
combinations of these on my Dell Inspiron 6000. It seems I'm forced to
choose between larger readable fonts with fuzzy images or clear images with
small fonts. Is there any way to have clear images and larger fonts?
Haven't tried to disable my Accelerator because I'm not sure if I have one
and how to do that.
