blue screen when using CD1 of Embedded toolkit

here is my problem whenever I boot my device with CD1 of the embedded toolkit
(PE CD) the OS throws me the following exception:

STOP: 0x0000007E (0xF853D0BF,0xF898D20C,0xF989CF0C)
Pci.sys – address F853D0BF base at F8536000, DateStamp 3B7d855c

I can’t get any further and am not able to copy my runtime Image to the
device from my development machine.

Based on some of the reading I’ve done I think having a CD1 with SP2 will
solve this problem.

Microsoft’s Knowledgebase:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;[LN];811113
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=818966 STOP: 0x0000007E Error Message
When You Install Windows XP Disk Image from a Remote Installation Services
Server

Is there a way to build a new CD1 with SP (slipstream??)?
Thanks!

If you're using the XPe SP2 toolkit, then WinPE on the first CD is actually
using the XP SP2 binaries and the problem you're seeing is probably caused
by a different issue.

Here is the doc for this bugcode:
hh/DevTest_g/t05_bugs_60_c5c2fde1-8dc2-424b-b175-ad150fd9bf27.xml.asp"

You didn't provide the first parameter of the bugcode which is the actual
exception code (access violation, etc).

This bugcode is most likely caused by a hardware issue including a BIOS
bug, bad driver, faulty memory modules, etc.

Some suggestions:
1. Run Windows memory diagnostic tool which can be installed from
http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp. If errors are found, try
re-seating your DIMMs, then re-run the memory diagnostic. Many "hardware
memory problems" can be resolved by simply re-seating the DIMMs. If you
still get errors after re-seating, you should replace the DIMM(s).
2. Check for the latest BIOS updates from the hardware manufacturer
3. Check for the latest processor microcode updates from the processor
manufacturer.
4. Check if the PCI cards are all seated correctly.
5. Ensure the computer power supply is not maxed out.

Thanks KS

I am actually using my CD 1 from the Toolkit that has SP1.
I am hoping that if I was to use CD 1 from the Toolkit that has SP2 my
problems will go away...
It seems that I have two options: buy a new Toolkit with SP2, or update my
current cd with the binaries of SP 2 which I am not sure how to do at this
point...

I never had problems with my old hardware and CD1 with SP2, just recently
when we bought new hardware this started to happen.

KS it finally dawned on me that the only thing I had to do is to replace the
pci.sys on CD1 w/SP1 with the pci.sys version of SP2 and voila it booted like
a charm...thanks for your help!
