Blue Screen Of Death

i kept getting this blue screen with white writing on it, with the error
0x0000008e. i formated my computer and installed a fresh copy of windows xp i
then installed latest updates but i kept getting the same error so i tryed
reinstalled windows xp again and now i cannot because as i get to the set my
computer keeps freezing and tells me i dont have a operating system...what
can i do to fix this problem???
