Blue Screen of Death when gaming.

My system has been solid as a rock for the last 4 to 5 years. Now all of the
sudden, it seems, I get the BSOD when gaming. I've played this game for the
last 4 to 5 years and have my own server. I'm very clean and careful with my
PC and maintain it imbecilely. The only thing I can think of that I've done
recently that may have affected it is installing IE 7. I uninstalled it
because I found it buggy.

The BSOD does not stay up long enough for me to read it, but I do see a file
referenced at the bottom: sysaudio.sys.

I tried running sfc and that did nothing and I found sfc won't run in Safe
Mode for some reason.

Here is the message I get in the Event Log:

Event Type: Information

I can't open the .dmp file.

Can someone help me on this?

Thanks!

The name of the error is PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA. "This indicates

Good luck

Ron,

I discovered the problem. The drive that I ran the game program on, and only
that program, had quite a few bad sectors. I ran chkdsk /f and now all is
well so far. No more BSoD.

Thank you for you assistance.
