well geezer with regards to formatting do u have another operating system cd? that u could use to format the drive with?
i dont know why it comes invalid.
take it to another pc and try it there!
im sure u got a damaged sector which needs to be fixed anyway so i woulndt bother formatting the drive. just get the cd off of some1 u know thats easy. if not come on use your head son, im sure that u have a good internet connection which is a valuable tool of course! .
