i first got this installing the windows updates, then it happens just when
im browsing the internet.

ive uninstalled my printer etc. all i have that i've installed now. is AVG
and MSN.

also. if i leave the pc unattended, but turned on. after a while it turns
itself off. it will eithr turn itself back on and start up with the black
screen and white writing safe mode/start normally. or it will turn itself off
and the screen will stay black but the tower is still humming away

a friend of mine says it could be the drivers? i do a have a file from the
mini dump .would it help if i posted this as we cannot read it?

many thanks. if you can offer any help it would really be appreaciated

go back to XP...

you will only run into more and more and more problems with vista in a never
ending battle just to do things that with XP were almost automatic

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Make sure you understand it is malicious troll who has no busyness to be
here except scaring people from Vista because he runs a criminal virus and
spyware business, poaching people's computers.

Vista is a death knell for him and he knows that. Vista is a very secure
system although more difficult to manage.

you need to check to see whether your computer will properly run vista.
memory., hard disk space.
and check for drivers for all your hardware.

sounds like your computer is really not up to vista.

some general specs on your hardware might help someone better attempt to diagnose the problem.

by the way, if you turn off auto restart under
System Properties, Advanced , Startup section
you might get some more info to help.
