Blue screen after login

After establishing a Remote Connection to my desktop, all works fine with the exception of
the desktop screen, which is blue and has all the icons, but no picture.
Any ideas as to why ?
Thanks in advance.

When you launch RDC from your local computer, click on the Options button. Click
on the Experience tab. Make the appropriate selection in the connection speed
box (LAN if both of the computers are on the same local network) or simply check
the box next to Desktop background. Hit the Connect button. You should now see
the wallpaper on the remote computer when connected.

Keep in mind that being able to see the wallpaper comes with a price in
performance. Since the two computer are on the same LAN, it's not much. If you
were connecting over the Internet on a typical cable or DSL connection, you
might want to pass on seeing the desktop background.

On a side note, while you have the tabs on RDC displayed, you might want to poke
around and see some of the other settings you can configure.

Good luck
