Blue Error Screen After first Reboot.

After lots of fiddling and checking i got my computer ready for vista, i did
the compatibility check, there was logitech quickcam on there, so i unplugged
it. i began the install and it went fine, first restart came to a stop error
screen saying the following code.
0x0000007B (0x85208BA0, 0x00000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

that only happens if i boot the computer without the vista upgrade disc in
the machine. with the disc in, it goes to the windows boot screen and tries
to do a clean install, which wont work because it is an upgrade disc only.
the system repair function did not work. nor did switching the settings to
boot from the hard disk first and having the disc in. i have my information
saved on a seperate slave drive so reformatting is not out of the question.
if i have to reinstall windows xp then i will.
