bloody firewall !!!!

hi all,
I have just activated the Internet Connection Firewall
(am running windows xp home edition). Now every time i
try to connect to the internet my dail up access says
disabled, firewalled. I am with freeserve. to access the
internet i have to uncheck the internet connection
firewall box in the advanced tab, under properties.
Please help............

After you download, install and run AVG, turn off Windows ICF.
Never go on-line without a firewall running. In a few minutes bad things
can happen.

AVG is Anti-Virus from Grisoft, not a firewall.

I don't know if it will conflict or not. Disregard the AVG link. I
included the WRONG link. I screwed up. You should be fine with your Norton AV.

It's easy to slip up like that and you corrected it pronto. Anyone who
googles it without reading the whole thread runs the risk of being
