BLOCKS FIREFOX AND LIMEWIRE....how to edit blocked programs list?

J

Justin Adams

I downloaded the AntiSpyware Beta, and immediately
thereafter Mozilla Firefox and Limewire cannot connect to
the internet. IE works just fine, and Mozilla
Thunderbird and Outlook Express work fine also. Is there a
way to edit the "blocked programs" list? Hopefully I'm
just stupid.

Also, I uninstalled AntiSpyware, and the problem REMAINED,
so it must have edited a Windows registry or something.
Thanks.

Glad I read this because as a Limewire user I will hang
off for a while before installing it. To resolve your
problem, can't you use system restore to bring your pc
back to as it was before you installed it?

Check the blocked events, LimeWire depends on Java, maybe it has blocked
that under Internet Agents.

The only things in the "blocked events" were 3 startup
registries. I selected to allow all of them, and it still
blocks Firefox. I accidentally uninstalled Limewire, but
Firefox is the bigger concern for me. Like I said, even if
I uninstall AntiSpyware, it is still blocked. I hate
Microsoft.
