Until recently I've used PowerPoint 2002 in XP but recently started
using PPT 2007 in Windows 7. Now, when I block text within a colored
text box I find it difficult to see (differentiate) the blocked text
from the rest because it is shaded so faintly. Is there a way to make
the selected text more easily visible? Shaded more distinctly?
Thank you, Jeff

AFAIK there's no way to change the shading. I've never had a problem with it
though which I often did with 2002.

Do you mean you can see that shading clearly in 2007? Are you using PPT
2007 in Windows 7?

I suspect it is W 7 that makes the shading so faint that is hardly
visible. Even when I removed the "aero" theme the blocked text is shaded
so faintly it is hardly visible. Because I am new to W 7 I am not sure
how to modify that W 7 setting if that is the cause.

I have a hard time with it sometimes, too, Jeff, especially if I'm working
in a default-blue-colored shape. Certain other blues are hard to work with,
too.

I don't have a fix for it, sorry. I do find 2010 a bit better in this
regard, but I don't know what it will be like in the actual released
versions.

Oh, I wonder if changing your Office skin to black or silver (Office Button
| PPT Options ) would make any difference? I'm thinking I might have less
issues with it when I'm set to black interface. Hm....

Thanks. I will play around with that.

Sorry for not replying sooner. I was traveling.
